The ON/OFF switch is on the cover of battery box. Most of our customers can easily install their own chandeliers. Just install a hook on the ceiling where the lamp needs to be hung, and then hang the lamp on the hook. 
After installing a new battery in this battery powered lantern, you can turn on the switch. When you want to use the timer function of the lamp (6 hours timer), just put the decorative lamp where you like and turn it on. This lamp can be hung on walls and trees. It can help you in case of power failure.
